I’m a firm believer in all types of music. There are several types of music that I don’t ever listen to but it doesn’t mean that I disagree that there are talented individuals who take part in it. One of the types of music that has been a part of my life since I was very young, however, is country music. I grew up with country music playing on the radio in the kitchen from the time I was very young and as I got older, my appreciation for country music just continued to grow. I think that many people would echo those sentiments and perhaps they feel that country music is the best type of music in existence.
The Country Music Association has played a big part in celebrating this style of music over the past five decades. They have the desire of “bringing the poetry and emotion of Country Music to the world.” It is their desire to bring country music to life in all of its glory, helping people to truly appreciate all that this style of music has to offer. The organization is also there to help foster creativity and the contributions that country music is bringing to all of us. It is one thing to hear it said but it is quite another to see it in action, and I feel that we see it in action in the best way in the video at the bottom of this page.
The music video below was released by the country music Association in celebration of the 50th anniversary of their CMA awards. The video is entitled “Forever Country: Artists of Then, Now, and Forever”. I feel that it really sums up our feelings of what country music has offer and it does it in the best way possible.
There going to be many familiar faces in this video. You will see Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and even Dolly Parton. They cover a number of different songs in this mash-up, many of which will be quite familiar to you. You can see it all for yourself in the following video:
