Libby, Cali, Riley, Murphy, and Sophie are all completely different breeds of dog, but they do have one significant thing in common: They are all totally devoted to their mom.
In fact, wherever Abby Rose Avery goes, her pups are going to be right there at her feet, getting in the way to make sure she’s safe — even when she visits places that she would rather occupy solo.
“They follow me to the bathroom/shower/bath almost constantly,” Avery told The Dodo.
The group’s favorite activity is staring lovingly at their mom because they just love her so much! But, it’s cool, because she loves them all just as much right back.
“When mom going to the bathroom is the most beautiful thing you ever saw,” Avery said.
With so many dogs, Avery and her canine crew get a lot of looks when they’re out and about in public. But, that doesn’t stop her from taking them all out with her whenever she pleases. Recently, the gang was out on a hike when Avery needed to use the restroom. This time, she brought all five pups in the stall with her —and they were more than happy to keep her company, as usual.
“They were very well-behaved as they usually are,” Avery said. “I told them ‘in’ and they all laid down and stared at me lovingly.”
One of the pups just loves watching Mom when she’s in the bathroom, and being in a public restroom didn’t change the dog’s fascination one bit! Of course, everyone else in the restroom was pretty confused — but very entertained.
“There was a barbecue going on at the park and many people stared, pointed and giggled,” Avery said. “A woman next to me in the stall said, ‘That’s a lot of feet!’”
Once she was finished, Avery paraded her crew back through the restroom, much to the delight of all those around her. To them, it was such an amusing delightful sight, but to the dogs, it has been just any other day. That’s because making sure their mom was safe — wherever she goes — is their favorite job in the whole wide world!
